In my opinion the key to a good boating trip is flexibility or the willingness to go with the flow. In this case we heard the flow of fish out by Bull Harbor is zero/zippo. Our friend Gord who lives in Pt. Hardy gave us the fishing report yesterday and I guess the fish are in closer to Pt. Hardy. He said even the local charters are not going out where we were planning on being. So this morning I called Pt. Hardy marina and they squeezed us in for the next couple of days. We like Pt. Hardy and really enjoy seeing Gord and his wife Marilyn but sometimes it becomes Pt. Party and not a lot of fishing. Gar is hoping he and Gord can go out Thursday and get something nice.
It is super foggy today so that means calm seas and relying on our radar, AIS and chart plotter. In plotted the course from Sointula yesterday so now we are doing last minute things and then will be heading out. Hopefully I will have a good fishing report from Pt. Hardy.
