I promised Simon equal time to Bill Bryant – so here we go:
The Ballad of Bondo
It was a dark and stormy night! (Actually, it was sunny and calm)
Suddenly, a shot broke out! ( It was several shots – of Wisers mixed with water)
Conversation ensued. (Bill got really chatty!)
Challenges were given. (Fishing at 5:30 in the morning)
Darkness descended. (Judy helped Bill to his boat)
The Morning After – If only there was a pill for this morning after! We were up and ready to go fishing by 6. One look at Bill convinced us that fishing was not a good idea. Gar was only going because Bill said he wanted to. I was only going because they bullied me into it, so we made the “Wiser” decision to let Bill nap on his couch rather then take us out to catch the wily salmon. Occasional moans and groans were heard. Gar offered his advice (“It only hurts for a little while”) and some Fireball, but that idea was met with a sad rolling of the eyes and another groan.
“There’s Got To Be A Morning After” – isn’t that the song from The Poseidon Adventure? Seems fitting in many ways!
